“MAGNIFICENCE”..Thy Kingdom Come.
"I am Thirsty” I reiterated, and He (GOD) replies; for I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and flood on the dry ground; I will pour my spirit…..
And it shall come to pass afterwards, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and…your young Men shall see visions (A lens into the Supernatural Reality). Joel 2:28, Acts2:17
PREFACE
6:05am 25/02/2014
Rise and shine! It’s a beautiful morning; a wake up call that combines the snooze of my alarm with my daily routine & thus manages both together, to rouse me up from my pleasant slumber. Expectations are high and desires welling up, what a great day it’s going to be. As I muster up some atom of strength left in me, I mumble a few lines of prayers giving glory to God for yet another opportunity to see the light of this day (drawing from my heavenly reserves, and demanding my fair share of bread and benefits which he daily loads us with), little did I know that it was a lesser light and there was yet a greater light to behold, not of this world alone, but of a world to come.
As I reluctantly maneuver my hands around my bed side reaching for the switch to power up my lamp, giving light to a room initially surrounded by darkness, I finally reach out for my bible once there was illumination to continue on a quest I had recently embarked upon to unravel the hidden mysteries of the great wisdom and wealth of King Solomon: Understanding his roots, avoiding his failures, gaining mastery of his ideologies, and applying the same set of rules of engagement which produced results.
Meditating on a few chapters I had now read from the book of proverbs, I couldn't help but constantly bring to memory the fifth verse in the second chapter [2:5], which buttresses on the advantage of seeking wisdom, thereby understanding the fear of God, and finding his knowledge (Omniscient God), I concluded God is magnificent. Reading through a few more chapters, the word magnificence never seemed to cease in my heart. In a fraction of seconds, I soon embarked on a journey that was to open a window to a new realm of knowledge; a lens into a supernatural reality of God’s greatness and the dazzling beauty of his splendour.
SCENE ONE
6:25am 25/02/2014
Transcending into a new state of existence (A place where I cannot make any detailed pointer/reference to), a realm where time and distance is no barrier, I find myself in an Eco-system similar to that of a sub-urban state.
As I lay upon a couch on a supposed 15m2 area open concrete porch in an urban-rural ambiance (the village), I find myself gazing upwards, beholding the wide black skies without any visible borders in sight. It is night time, only a few lights dotted the horizon, and a thin stretch of cloud covering, coupled with a cluster of thick clouds scattered all around.
INTERMISSION 1
This was
not the first time I was experiencing such a view. It was a frequent
practice I constantly engaged in at night time since I was 14. Growing
up back then in the city of Ilorin (Kwara state,Nigeria), a relatively secured
and quiet environment (with several other kids with whom I am still in touch with today) in a staff quarters/gated estate. Oftentimes not alone, I alongside my 9 year old companion (friend)
would sit on the bonnet of my mum’s red colored 2 door Toyota corolla
SE; a 1980 lift back, back axle saloon automobile. About midnight, we
would sit with our backs resting on the wind shield of the vehicle,
gazing at the stars, and every other element present in the horizons. It
was a fun activity, as well as a learning experience. I learned about
the stars, their formations, and zodiac signs we always tried to piece
together of which I don’t remember ever been successful at; a few
satellites we initially mistook for stars, occasional shooting stars,
moving planes and jet liners, as well as other moving objects farther up
in the horizon which we sometimes concluded were UFO’s( Unidentified
flying Objects) with aliens scanning and scouting the earth for
intelligence (information), as we were made to believe in movies, and occasional discussions with our peers, which was the buzz in our time.
SCENE TWO
Suddenly
I notice a strange occurrence in the heavenlies. As I gazed on high, I
begin to see rays of light from above. My first instinct suggests that
they are reflections generated from the stars, however they are arranged
in a formation, entirely different from that of the zodiac signs (Leo, Aries, Taurus,Capricorn……..Sagittarius etc.)
I am familiar with. It rather appears systematically arranged in an
order as if it be giving light to something (a place, city, or town).
The clouds gain motion, beginning to open up to usher in something. Surprisingly, I begin to see (although initially not with uttermost clarity, as I continue to stare further, I soon began to unravel the view I gazed upon) much deeper.
I see a layout (grouping or arrangement) somewhat like a city’s setting similar to a satellite area capture by a GIS (Geographical Information System)
device that divides space and place into sections which are represented
in plots and lots. There are spontaneous flickering of lights all
around dazzling from within and shinning like glitters from a precious
stone. A rapid shot of adrenaline race through my body increasing the
tempo of my heartbeat. I am bedazzled, and marvel at such beautiful
occurrence in the galaxy.
Excited by this chain of events, I soon sit up and subsequently stand, to focus on the view I am beholding: with
both hands lifted up, and my gaze set on high as if in reverence of him
who made all things; with a camera, I capture such great wonder.
ACT ONE
…And what are you up too?
I
was interrupted by a familiar voice (my sister). There she was standing
right next to me, with a rather inquisitive expression.
...what are you possibly doing?
She asked again.
…Don’t you see?
Without paying much attention to her, still fascinated by what I had seen, I reluctantly answered.
…See what?
She asked in curiosity.
…Look!
I said.
…Look upwards!
…I see a city afar off well structured with a continuous beam of light glittering spontaneously around. With my eyes still looking upwards, I uttered.
…There! There it is!
Finally with a sigh of relief, as if she had seen enough, or probably not seen anything at all, she says;
…well,
I’m heading in. And don’t you think your mobile phone camera is too
small to capture the images you see? You need a bigger camera.................TO BE CONTINUED
Vision is the ability to see farther than your eyes can look.
